Touching base with Boso-Boso and Cainta
Written by Sch. Placido De Jose, MI

BOSO-BOSO, ANTIPOLO CITY.  The Pinoy Dream Academy has a newer version in the ‘Empire’ of Nuestra Señora de la Annunciata.  It’s a modular class for the parish community’s youth and future builders held every Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  Speakers are invited to discuss theology and basic catechism as well as some doctrines of the Catholic Church.  Enrollment is still going on.  If you have the talent to speak about the aforementioned topics, just feel free to contact the ‘Emperor,’ Fr. Meng Barawid, MI.  He really needs your help to build the ‘Empire.’

Speaking of the Emperor, July 25 actually was his birthday.  Hope you greeted him.  If not, you’re never too late.  By the way, he spent this day assisting some Ateneans who came for their exposure program in the far flung spaces of his Empire.

Then, together with some of his parishioners and the scholasticate community, Fr. Meng attended the celebration of “Humanae Vitae Kwarenta, Biyaya ng Buhay, Biyaya ng Pamilya.”  Just like Manny Pacquiao, he believes that had his parents practiced birth control there wouldn’t be any Fr. Meng.

His birthday ended with a surprise.  He never imagined seeing his parishioners and the scholasticate community waiting for him until late at night there in his empire, with their organized program.  What a surprise for him!

Long live Father Meng!

CAINTA, RIZAL.  St. Camillus Health Center is getting stronger for two great reasons.  First, there is a new batch of Community Based Health Volunteers (CBHV) undergoing training that will last for a whole year with sessions taking place every other Sunday.  Thanks to Father Rolly for making it possible.  Second, there is the presence of Bro. Cyrelus Andi Suparman, a scholastic assigned in the area every weekend to look after the welfare of St. Camillus Health Center.

Good luck to you, man!  May you learn a lot, from gardening to administering.  Our prayers are with you.
