The YCR mid-year gathering
Written by Camillian Update

The Young Camillian Religious (YCR), in the company of their spiritual adviser, convened for their mid-year gathering on August 18, 2008 in Quezon City. The YCR composed of six religious below five years of perpetual profession gathered in a simple para-liturgical service which helped them reflect and share about their personal journey in their respective communities.

In the sharing, the YCR members disclosed their joys and difficulties about their present assignments.  For each one, hearing one another’s concerns and aspirations regarding their ministry and relationships with their superior was an enabling and edifying experience.  The sharing ended with a prayer and with the ritual of anointing of hands which became an expression of mutual fraternal support.

A business meeting followed.  The members agreed to organize a Youth Camp in the first quarter of 2009 as a support project for vocation animation and formation.  The YCR schedule and financial reports were discussed in the meeting, too.

The gathering concluded with a meal and more fellowship.
