Back to realityAfter vacationing and vocationing, we scholastics retraced our way back to our respective schools of Theology to face the academic hurdles of the second semester. Honestly speaking, some of us went to school ‘like creeping snails’. We found ourselves really back to reality. On the first two Thursday afternoons and Sundays of November we resumed our apostolate with the sick. This challenged us to practice what we preached to the youngsters throughout the country during the vocation campaign. Adding fuel to the fireOn November 8, we felt afire with enthusiasm. Some of us brought posters, tarpaulins, banners, stampitas and brochures when we attended the Regional Vocation Festival held on that day at Amoranto Stadium hosted by the Diocese of Cubao Vocation Ministry. Its theme was: Lagablab: Alab ng Espiritu, Gabay Mo (Blaze: Fire of the Holy Spirit, your Guide). The stadium became, for a while, a marketplace of vocation promoters. There were booths set up by various congregations and dioceses. High School students, youth groups and young professionals from various dioceses in Metro Manila participated. The activity lasted from morning until evening. There were songs and dances; the youth was alive and active. God must have been smiling in seeing so many young people gathered at the Festival. The rain and the cool wind must have been his special blessings to them. The whole day affair ended with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. “Germanization” at SCCSSch. Edgar Tuballa, MI began the process of “Germanization” at the St. Camillus College Seminary, Marikina. He started teaching the German language on November 11, 2008. So, hopefully, Fr. Weber, you might have some more future Camillian confreres coming from the Philippine Province. Congratulations, Edgar! |
