SCP holds medical mission with a touch of Christmas
Written by Camillian Update

The medical mission conducted in St. Camillus Polyclinic (SCP) in Barangay Inarawan, Antipolo in the morning of December 14, 2008 did not only address the medical needs of its beneficiaries.  It also spread the spirit of Christmas among them.

Organized by the staff of St. Camillus Polyclinic, the medical mission, which is held annually, served 88 patients from Barangay Inarawan and other neighboring barangays.  Patients with dental problems received treatment including tooth extraction.  Others gained access to free medical consultation.  They received free medicines for their ailments, and those who needed minor surgical treatment could undergo the procedure right there and then.  The surgical procedures were, understandably, limited to simple cyst-removal in different parts of the body except in the head and breasts.  Patients needing follow up were then told to go for further check-up at the St. Camillus Polyclinic.

After treatment, the patients received packages consisting of used clothes, rice and noodles.  The medical mission that included gift-giving was a simple gesture of sharing and celebrating Christmas with the sick in a Camillian way.
