Back to 4 in 1: Admission, First Profession, Renewal, Perpetual Profession
May 31 was a highly significant and memorable day for the Order of the Ministers of the Infirm (Camillians) in the Philippine Province. Four special moments took place during one Eucharistic celebration held in St. Lorenzo Ruiz and St. Camillus de Lellis Church at the Provincialate compound on that day: admission to the novitiate, first profession, renewal of vows, and perpetual profession.
The Eucharist began at 9:30AM with Fr. Evan Paul
Villanueva, the Provincial Vicar of the Philippine Province, presiding
and 19 priests concelebrating. Camillian religious from abroad added
to the flavor. The Taiwan Delegation was represented by Fr. Giovanni
Rizzi and Fr. Matteo Kao. Bro. Joseph Phat from Vietnam witnessed the
ceremony too.
After the homily, the admission and profession rites
began. Four young men were admitted to the Novitiate. Those who
initially dared to say ‘yes’ to follow Christ in the footsteps of St.
Camillus were Henry Angupa, Charito Borra, Seo Jung Ju, and Albert
Silos. Congratulations to them and we pray for their perseverance.
Ending their novitiate formation, Bon Arimbuyutan and Fr. Joseph Yang made their first profession.
Thirteen scholastics made their renewal of vows: Sch.
John Paul Alvarado, MI, Sch. Mushtaq Anjum, MI, Sch. Rodolfo Cancino,
MI, Sch. Placido de Jose, MI, Sch. Avensius Harung, MI, Sch. Jayson
Labrado, MI, Sch. John Jay Magpusao, MI, Sch. Eliseo Navaro, MI, Sch.
Brian Vincent Rances, MI, Sch. Ignatius Sibar, MI, Sch. Cyrelus
Suparman Andi, MI, Sch. Roderick Tampis, MI and Sch. Edgar Tuballa, MI.
Then came the perpetual profession of Alfons Oles
and Marven Ruyeras. It was a historic moment because the Order of the
Ministers of the Infirm admitted into the ranks of the perpetually
professed the first Indonesian Camillian in the person of Alfons Oles.
The joyous celebration continued after the Eucharist with lunch at the multi-purpose covered court.
