A life-changing Announcement
May 6, 2009 was a memorable day for four postulants (Albert Silos, Charito Borra, Seo Jung Ju, and Henry Angupa) because Fr. Gabby, the superior, announced to the community that they were recommended for the novitiate. Memorable, because for almost four months of journey amidst many temptations, pains and challenges they were able to persevere. The hardships and trials make them strong and their motivation firm as they continue their journey.
An experience of healing
In order for the postulants to become more
mature as they choose to embrace religious life they went through a
five-day process of Psycho-spiritual Integration (PSI) in Tagaytay last
May 12-16. Their facilitator was Sister Rose, a Religious of the Good
Shepherd (RGS). The presence of Sister Rose was indeed very
significant because with her help the postulants were able to process
their life issues. Indeed, the five day PSI activity was very
meaningful and fruitful in healing their past.
Retreat: Vacation with God
The novices (Fr. Joseph Yang and Bon
Arimbuyutan) went to Antipolo City in SEIDI for their retreat last May
18-24 in preparation for their temporary profession. Their facilitator
was Rev. Fr. Bernard. The postulants had their retreat too from May 25
until 29 in preparation for their investiture. Fr. Renante Sentillas,
MI was their retreat master.
Indeed, their retreat was a vacation with God
because they had ample time to pray and reflect on the Word of God. It
was also a time to relax and rest in the bosom of God, re-align their
life with the love of God, and, as an act of gratitude, to renew the
resolve to reciprocate God’s love by loving their brothers and sisters
in the community.
