The Baloney is taking a well deserved vacation in Super Obama’s baby killers land. Will be nice to relax and enjoy my favorite beverage – milk? While I’m in the USA it would be a good time to invite my barkada to the most exquisite and expensive restaurant I can find in my hometown. Will be difficult though to find one that will feature a final bill of $20,000. Of course I won’t pay for it but one of my rich friends will foot the bill. How’s that for baloney? Just got the news that a mission team of the Dumaguete Redemptorists will do a Mission here in Balugo. It seems that aside from a medical mission, there will be a 5 to 10 minute visit to every house in the barangay. The visit is meant to improve the spirituality of the people. The hope is to bring them closer to God and the Church. May God be with them. Lots of screaming and shouting about the new law lowering the price of medicine. The multinationals are saying they will go broke and even the private hospitals are against lowering the price of medicines in their hospitals. The bottom line seems to be the making of a lot of money and screw the sick poor. What about dropping the E-vat tax on medicine? But then how can the big shots afford to travel the world without the people paying the fare. The Baloney will be back December exploring and stating facts of life here in Balugo and elsewhere. Until then, Fr. Tom Welu, MI. |
