SCHC Welcomes Fr. Luigi Back…

What keeps us busy these days in Calbayog?  As usual, SCHC still keeps on making the Spirit of Camillus alive here through the usual “Bahandi” Program; the collaboration with the Diocesan Health Care Commission; the LCF activities; the prison ministry; the Leliane Mediation; SCHIP; the hospital ministry; and the medical mission and ministry in some barangays – programs that make Camillus famous in Calbayog.

Amidst all these programs and activities was the highlight of this month – the return of Fr. Luigi Galvani.  After being away for almost five months in his mission to Indonesia, he came back on November 17, 2009.  At 1:00 in the afternoon Fr. Luigi arrived at the lovely airport of Calbayog City. He was welcomed by some staff and personnel at the arrival area with a streamer saying WELCOME BACK FR. LUIGI and BEBOT.  Now that he’s back, Fr. Luigi will launch his project of making St. Camillus Hospital Calbayog more beautiful, attractive and refreshing to the patients and visitors.  Just try to imagine what will happen next.  If you like to see, just come and visit us here in Calbayog.

By the way, with the blessing of Fr. Luigi, Fr. James with 10 of our nurse volunteers and doctors headed for Tarlac on a special Medical Mission in collaboration with Camillus Medhaven and the Aeta community.  They began their trip in the evening of November 25 and returned on November 30.

This is all for now from Calbayog.  Let’s keep the Advent spirit alive as we busy ourselves preparing our Christmas decors and programs.  Till next…
