Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store for young men (age 17 to 35) who feel invited to become one of us. Pre-novitiate Formation at St. Camillus College Seminary (SCCS)SCCS provides the pre-novitiate formation which consists of: The Orientation YearThis offers the candidates basic human and seminary formation. It is a one-year period of intensive initiation to the Camillian religious life. The candidates learn to ascertain their vocation. They also develop fundamental skills required for the four-year college formation in the seminary. College FormationThis four year program aims to develop the whole person within the setting of a community life. It is meant to enable the seminarians to gain some degree of human and spiritual maturity and mental acuity needed to discern better the initial call of God for apostolic service.

Pre-novitiate Formation at St. Camillus Adult Formation CenterThis is a two year program designed for aspiring professionals (age 21-35) who wish to commit themselves radically to follow Christ more closely through serving the sick even in danger to their own lives. During this period, compatibility is tested. Do the expectations and values of the candidate and the demands of the Order match? An affirmative answer opens the way to the next step – novitiate formation.

Novitiate Formation at St. Camillus NovitiateThe Novitiate is where life in the Camillian Order formally begins. In general, novitiate formation leads the novices to a clearer understanding of the religious vocation. In particular, it enables them to develop deeper familiarity and identification with the charism, history, constitution and apostolic ministry of the Order of St. Camillus. This one-year period of formation ends with the profession of temporary vows.

Scholasticate Formation St. Camillus ScholasticateAt the Scholasticate, religious formation prepares the temporary professed religious for perpetual profession. This period of formation consists of psycho-spiritual, intellectual, cultural, apostolic and religious training within a community that favors religious maturation. The formative process is geared towards enabling the temporary professed religious gain a degree of suitability and readiness for the profession of perpetual vows.
