New German Provincial
The Father General of the Camillian Order, Renato Salvatore, officially announced last May 12, 2010 the new elected German Provincial: Fr. Siegmund Malinowski!
Fr. Malinowski was born on October 10, 1959 in
Flatow, Poland. Together with his parents, they settled in Germany in
1979. He resided in Berlin and there he worked at a public health
department.
October 1, 1985, he joined the Camillian Order
and stayed in Essen-Heidhausen Community for the postulancy. He then
entered the novitiate on March 18, 1986 in Neuss, and on March 23, 1987
he absolved his temporary profession.
Fr. Malinowski did his studies of Philosophy and
Theology at the St. Lambert Seminary in Lantershofen, a seminary for
adult vocations. During his studies, he made his perpetual profession on
March 25, 1990 in Neuss. He finished his studies in July 1991.
After a period of preparation in the diocesan
seminary in Freiburg, Fr. Malinowski was ordained deacon on December 14,
1991 by the Archbishop Oskar Saier. This same bishop ordained him as a
priest in Freiburg on May 25, 1992.
After his priestly ordination, Fr. Malinowski
was assigned for the pastoral service in Neuss and in-charge of the
Camillian Spiritual Center in that same place. Later on, he was assigned
superior of the Neuss community up to 1996.
From 1997 to the present, he has been the
assigned chaplain in Lukas Klinik near the city of Neuss. He used to
collaborate for the spiritual assistance of a group of lay volunteers
from the Order of Malta.
