New German Provincial

The Father General of the Camillian Order, Renato Salvatore, officially announced last May 12, 2010 the new elected German Provincial: Fr. Siegmund Malinowski!

Fr. Malinowski was born on October 10, 1959 in Flatow, Poland. Together with his parents, they settled in Germany in 1979. He resided in Berlin and there he worked at a public health department.

October 1, 1985, he joined the Camillian Order and stayed in Essen-Heidhausen Community for the postulancy. He then entered the novitiate on March 18, 1986 in Neuss, and on March 23, 1987 he absolved his temporary profession.

Fr. Malinowski did his studies of Philosophy and Theology at the St. Lambert Seminary in Lantershofen, a seminary for adult vocations. During his studies, he made his perpetual profession on March 25, 1990 in Neuss. He finished his studies in July 1991.

After a period of preparation in the diocesan seminary in Freiburg, Fr. Malinowski was ordained deacon on December 14, 1991 by the Archbishop Oskar Saier. This same bishop ordained him as a priest in Freiburg on May 25, 1992.

After his priestly ordination, Fr. Malinowski was assigned for the pastoral service in Neuss and in-charge of the Camillian Spiritual Center in that same place. Later on, he was assigned superior of the Neuss community up to 1996.

From 1997 to the present, he has been the assigned chaplain in Lukas Klinik near the city of Neuss. He used to collaborate for the spiritual assistance of a group of lay volunteers from the Order of Malta.

P.S.: The Camillians from the German Province extend congratulations to Fr. Rolly Fernandez and wish him all the best for his duty as the newly-elected Provincial of the Philippine Province!
